What To Do 

July is a month of celebration! Whether you’re sipping rose or jamming to some tunes, there’s something for all to enjoy this month in our Sweet Baton Rouge! 

Forum 35’s Uncorked – Combine your love for food, wine and passion for a good cause at Forum 35’s Uncorked! This summer is all about stopping to sip the rose, and you can too on July 11 at Provisions on Perkins for this wine-tasting event! 

Candlebox at L’Auberge – L’Auberge welcomes Candlebox to the event center on Friday, July 19! Candlebox is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington that first emerged nearly 25 years ago. Tickets are on sale now! 

Sip & Soap – Head over to The Cove at BREC for Sip & Soap with Thomas Therapeutics! Sip on your favorite beverage while creating tailor-made soaps for your skin! 

Where To Go 

July is all about patriotic festivities and celebrating America’s independence! So grab your favorite tee from our Louisiana Patriotic Summer collection, and check out what’s happening around the Capital City!

Stars & Stripes: A Celebration at Conway – Mark you calendars! Celebrate Independence Day at Conway with fireworks, children’s activities, pop-up shops, live music by Rewind Band and more!! 

USS KIDD 4th of July Spectacular From a hot dog eating contest to live music and a patriotic KIDD’s zone to a Popsicle Parade, there’s nothing more festive than the USS KIDD’s Annual 4th of July Spectacular! It’s sure to be a family favorite for locals and visitors alike

L’Auberge Fireworks Extravaganza – Still in need of July 4th plans?! Head on over to L’Auberge Hotel Casino for live music, drink specials, fireworks and more! It’s our go-to choice if you’re looking for a night out. 

What To Eat 

With July 4 right around the corner, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite local BBQ places for you to try! 

Red, White & Blue at BRQ – United States Veteran bartenders are participating in a cocktail competition at the only veteran-owned and operated restaurant in Baton Rouge, BRQ! Come on out to show your support. 

Dat’z Italian – Sweet Baton Rouge Insider Ashlee tells us this is her favorite local pizza place! Her go-to slice? Dat’s a Forte Pizza! She says she loves the thin crust and woodfire flavor. 

Hannah-Q – Here at Hannah Q Smokehouse, we cook our meats low and slow with a mix of hickory wood so the flavor is just right! Whether you prefer a Steak Burger or Buttermilk Fried Chicken, we have you covered! 

The Atomic Burger – Say hello to Baton Rouge’s newest burger restaurant! With lettuce buns, edamame, shakes, and more, there’s sure to be a variety of options for the whole family to enjoy! 

Don’t Stop Just Geaux 

Whether you’re looking for a local class to try or would rather work out at home, we have you covered on ways to Don’t Stop Just Geaux all month long! 

Pure Barre & Brunch at Topgolf – Topgolf is hosting their first FREE Pure Barre class on July 13th at 9:00am! Attendees will receive a $10 off game play coupon and free membership card. Stay after class to checkout their brunch menu and play a round! 

Ladies Night @ UpTown Climbing  – Meet up with the strong ladies of Baton Rouge and join the Ladies Climbing Coalition for a night of climbing at UpTown Climbing! UpTown Climbing hosts Ladies Night every third Thursday of the month!
