As our Sweet Baton Rouge Insiders do every month, we’ve compiled the inside scoop on What To Do, Where To Go, What To Eat, and how to Don’t Stop Just Geaux in June! We’ve also included a Local Spotlight featuring Mid City Makers Market!
What To Do
USS KIDD – This patriotic museum is a must-see on your next trip downtown! Did you know the USS KIDD is the ONLY known destroyer in the world still preserved in her World War II configuration?! If that isn’t cool enough, the ship is also one of four Fletcher-class destroyers still in existence that is preserved as a museum.
Dino Day – Get ready to dig up dinosaurs and their prehistoric world through interactive experiences at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum on June 8! Hang out with Jason, an authentic 65 million year old Triceratops skull, learn about fossils, and more!
Bandito Festival – This festival is a little bit country and a little bit rock-n-roll, a little bit south of the border and a little bit Americana. Either way, it’s making its debut on Saturday, June 22 with mouthwatering BBQ and tacos and a festive line-up of live music! Check out the event page for full details, you don’t wanna miss it!
