Have you ever considered hopping on the Keto train? Is there a reason you haven’t jumped yet or have you already?

I took my seat on the Keto train last August, while preparing for my wedding! I was shocked at how quickly I had met my goals.

Sure, there was an aspect where I felt I was being cheated from my favorite foods like, the #1 Chick-Fil-A Sandwich with fries and a Sweet Tea, or chocolate candy, but believe it or not, there are alternatives!! Praises!!

Now, when I first started my Keto journey, I was engaged and planning the biggest event of my life thus far. I was about to move across the country to Louisiana, due to my fiancé’s new job. Lastly, I was packing up my life and preparing to leave the house I built, my family, my friends, and all things I loved in Branson, Missouri.

If I can change my eating habits during all of that emotional chaos, you can anytime!

When my husband and I found a home to buy, we started the remodeling process. Long story short, we did not have a functioning kitchen for months on end. So, “how did you successfully stay on the Keto lifestyle,” you ask? I’ll tell you the secret! There’s a dirty Keto way! That’s right! You can eat out as much as you want, while on Keto! Of course, you have to make sacrifices, such as not ordering French Fries or Sweet Tea, but I can still get a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, without the bun, because that’s only 11 carbs and 22 grams of protein. Now, that order isn’t the best option, but it is acceptable in an “I NEED MY CHICK-FIL-A” kind of moment.

I will typically order a Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich, without the bun because that’s only 5 carbs, 30 grams of protein and 9 grams of fat! Amazing!!

At Wendy’s, I can order the Baconator without the bun. (Watch your condiments)

At Lit Pizza, I can order a cauliflower crust with pesto sauce and tons of great cheeses and meats as toppings!

All of this sounds appealing, right?

Time has passed and our kitchen is functional! I am now able to try out Keto recipes at home; What a great time to do so, now that I’m self-quarantined!

I’m going to share two at-home Keto recipes with you!

Keto Steak Marinade

1/2 cup avocado oil
1/3 cup coconut aminos
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Stir all of these ingredients together and smear on the steaks or put it all in a ziplock bag. Refrigerate.

Marinade the steaks for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours. The longer you marinate, the stronger the taste.

Trust me, this is a DELICIOUS marinade that is totally Keto friendly!!

Keto Brownies
2 eggs
½ cup swerve
⅓ cup cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
¼ tsp baking powder
½ cup almond flour
½ cup melted butter
Walnuts (optional)

Grease an 8×8 baking pan.

Mix the wet ingredients and slowly mix in the dry ingredients.

Bake at 350 degrees, for 25 minutes!

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan, for 10 minutes.

I hope you like these recipes! If you decide to try them or if you’re starting your Keto journey, good luck!! I believe you’ll do well with it, if you set your mind to it!

Enjoy & eat well,
