Natchitoches, LA is my hometown, but I’ve been a Sweet Baton Rouge native since I was 8. I’m a wife and mom to 2 gorgeous kids, and we’re all four at the same school everyday. I’m a middle school teacher/librarian, so naturally, there’s a stack of books on my night stand at all times. My hobbies also include shopping, traveling, cooking and eating out. I love all things Disney and we’ve been Annual Passholders for multiple years. Coke is my morning coffee and Johnny’s is the best pizza in town!
How long have you lived in Baton Rouge?
What is your Baton Rouge go-to-coffee spot and order?
CC’s and depending on the weather, it’s a hot or iced vanilla latte
What is your Favorite Baton Rouge hidden gem?
Chris’s Specialty Foods. They have some amazing prepared meats and sides that require very little effort to pull off an impressive meal or even just a grilling night with the family.
What is your favorite Baton Rouge Restaurant?
Hands down, Beausoleil. Their steak is unreal!
On a typical Saturday night, where would we find you in Baton Rouge?
If it’s the fall, I’m cheering on my Tigers with our best friends. If it’s any other season, I’m with my fellow foodie husband and our kids trying out a local restaurant. We love Elsie’s, Ruffino’s, Dempsey’s, The Chimes, Walk-Ons (even though its a chain now, it started as local), and Bistro Byronz.
