June 1

L’Auberge welcomes Candlebox to the Event Center Friday, June 1. Candlebox is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington. They first emerged nearly 25 years ago with their now 4-times platinum self-titled debut, which contains their biggest hit, “Far Behind,” as well as the singles “Change,” “You,” and “Cover Me.”

June 2 

Returning for a 4th year, Red Stick Moms Blog is thrilled to host Moms Night Out to provide Baton Rouge moms a chance to cut loose, eat good food and dance the night away. Join them for the 4th annual Red Stick Moms Blog Moms Night Out at the Old Governor’s Mansion.

Lace up your running shoes for the Changing and Advancing Nutrition Now (CANN) 5K and the Happy’s 5000 in downtown Baton Rouge.

June 4-12 

Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre’s Youth Ballet presents “Coppélia” Directed by Rebecca Acosta and Jonna Cox, Coppélia is a delightfully funny 30 minute version of this classic ballet, featuring dancing dolls, a foolish toymaker and antics galore!

June 7

Need a way to give back while kicking back the jokes? Join us for Charity Improv 2.0 at The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

June 9 

It’s the one race in Baton Rouge you won’t want to miss. Join us for the Knock Knock Children’s Museum’s inaugural Duck Derby!  The quacking starts at 9 AM on Saturday, June 9th as thousands of rubber duckies race down the City Park Golf Course Stream.

Join Yogaltes 2 South and Mockler Beverage Company for Yoga on the Lawn 2018 at Lipsey’s! All proceeds benefit Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center. Come for an exciting and relaxing yoga class, food bites by Ruffino’s, ice cream by Red River Bank, beer from Mockler Beverage Comany and more!

June 14-21

The Royal Standard Art Stroll and Sale will occur during one week in June where local artists – painters, potters, sculptors – will be featured. An opening reception on June 14th from 6-8pm will kick off the event.

June 15

BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo’s will host Bowling for Rhinos from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Circle Bowl. For $20, you will receive 3 hours of bowling, shoe rental, access to a silent auction, and delicious zookeeper-made snacks! All proceeds benefit the Rhino Conservation!

June 16 

Join Louisiana Art & Science Museum for Dino Day 2018! Unearth dinosaurs and their prehistoric world through hands-on activities and a special line up of planetarium shows, including “The Land Before Time” at 2 PM. Don’t forget to visit the colossal fossil Jason–an authentic 65-million-year-old triceratops skull.

June 23

Miss D and her Dancing Dolls, the stars of Lifetime’s hit series Bring It! will be coming to the River Center Performing Arts Theater on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 7:30pm with an all new “Bring It! Live” 2018 summer tour.

June 30

Oh shucks! The 1st Annual Jolie Pearl Oyster Festival is coming to downtown Baton Rouge. Whether you like them raw, charbroiled, blackened or fried, there’s sure to be something for all to enjoy!

Once you’re done, head on over to the Baton Rouge Zoo to celebrate Red, White and Zoo. Grab some snacks and wine-down at Baton Rouge Gallery’s Movies & Music on the Lawn featuring Sherlock Jr. You can even catch the musical stylings of Wayne Toups at L’Auberge!

July 3

Kenilworth celebrates our nation’s freedom with our 45th Annual Independence Day Parade.  “Home Sweet Home” is our 2018 parade theme. The parade rolls at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, and is sponsored by the Kenilworth Civic Association (KCA).

July 4 

Let freedom ring this July 4 in the Capital City! Begin the day with the USS KIDD’s Fourth of July Spectacular. Then hop on over to the Shaw Center for the Arts to view WBRZ’s annual Fireworks on the Mississippi. Enjoy food from Capital City Grill and music from Premier Sound Services. We’ll be making art with the kids from 7–8:15 p.m. before the fireworks begin at 9 p.m.

July 15 

Wine-down at the Fete Rouge Award Dinner at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel. Enjoy a six course wine and food pairing while honoring the 2018 recipient of the Grace “Mama” Marino Lifetime Achievement Award.

July 21

Cool down with the  Zoo on Frozen Safari Day! Frozen treats will be available for visitors, as well as the animals! The first 100 people will receive a coupon for a FREE frozen treat at the Zoo’s Cool Critter Café.

July 25 

The Greatest Love of All: The Whitney Houston Show starring Belinda Davids comes to the Raising Cane’s River Center! The critically-acclaimed stage show honoring the talent, music and memory of Whitney Houston.

July 26 

Hey Batter, Batter! Don your Sweet Baton Rouge baseball tees and head over to Perkins Rowe for Marucci’s Extra Innings at the Rowe for a free live concert! The Marucci World Series will be in town from July 25 thru July 29.

July 27 

Baton Rouge Gallery’s Music & Movies on the Lawn: The Mark of Zorro returns with Hydra Plane to perform a special, never-before-heard score for the action-packed 1920 film, starring Douglas Fairbanks as the iconic masked hero.

July 28

L’Auberge welcomes The Chee-Weez to the event center this July! The Chee-Weez are a 5 piece tribute/show band of unmatched proportions. They give you everything you love about your favorite genres from 70’s funk to 90’s rock and so much more.

August 10

Boogie on over to L’Auberge for a live concert by Marc Broussard! Born and bred on the bayou, his big heart and big voice will leave you groovin.

August 17 

Fête Rouge Food & Wine Fête returns to the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel for a Louisiana chefs’ competition featuring over 40 of your favorite restaurants. Plus taste over 200 wines!

Hop across the street to Perkins Rowe and curb your cravings at their Food Truck Round-Up at the Rowe from 6-8pm.

August 23

Grab your dancing shoes and dust off those lawn chairs, Rock N Rowe returns to Perkins Rowe for its fall series!

August 25 

Run like a cheetah at the 13th annual Zoo Run Run 5K and ½ Mile Kids’ Fun Run! All proceeds support your Baton Rouge Zoo and international cheetah conservation efforts.

Afterward, race on over to Baton Rouge Gallery for kids’ night at their Music and Movies on the Lawn program.

August 30

Kick back and relax at Rock N Rowe this Thursday at Perkins Rowe! All concerts are free and open to the public.
